Fellowship recipients are expected to enroll in language and area studies courses. An academic year FLAS provides full tuition and a stipend of $15,000. A summer FLAS provides tuition and a stipend of $2500. All FLAS awards are contingent upon continued funding through the U.S. Department of Education.
